Seminar Fees

Fees are determined per event based on time and effort--namely the following:
- Time involved in making the PowerPoint slides
- Time involved in making the handouts
- Time involved in researching the literature for material to input into the slides and handouts
- Photocopying of articles, purchasing of books and other materials, etc.
- Traveling time and hassle: to airport, via plane, customs, from airport, returning to airport, customs, return flight, driving from airport, taxi/train expenses, etc.
Time invested is kept on a stopwatch and billed at US$75-$150 per hour. Additional travel expenses for flight, hotel, etc are covered by host sponsor.

Personal communication about speaking fees from a colleague:

"Hi Alex,

My normal fee for a 1 hour power point presentation is $2,500 + travel expenses in the U.S. and $5,000 for international talks.

I will be traveling to Copenhagen in November to give an all day seminar & my fee for this will be $6,500."

Payment or Deposit for Seminars, Presentations, Consulting, Traveling Time and Expenses

Payments and deposits for seminars, presentations, consulting, traveling time and expenses can be made here in increments of $500. Thus, if the payment or deposit is $1,200 then 3 purchases of $500 can be made for a total of $1500, which will then be corrected downward to $1,200 at the time of processing.
